Specialties of Qinzhou, Guangxi, China. Nixing pottery is one of the four famous potteries in China. It is made from the unique purplish-red clay on both sides of the Qinjiang River in Qinzhou, Guangxi and fired at a high temperature of 1380 degrees Celsius. It is purely handmade and carved. The carving on the body of the pot adopts the "four-layer filling mud" technique. After being fired at high temperature, it will neither fade nor change color.
